Where we've been

Nigel Tangelo and I are in a local community theater production of the musical, Once Upon a Mattress. It's a retelling of the story of the princess and the pea - with a distinctly non-traditional princess! Opening night is Thursday, and, although we have lots of photos, I've been too busy to post them (or even explain why I'm not posting). Posting will resume sometime in the beginning of August.

We're having a wonderful time, singing, acting, dancing, making props, painting sets, and sewing costumes. It's a fun musical with lots of energy, and we've got a great cast. If you're in the Hillsborough/Durham/Chapel Hill area (or if you're further and don't mind driving), performances will be at the Orange High School auditorium in Hillsborough, NC:

July 28 - 8:00 p.m.
July 29 - 8:00 p.m.
July 30 - 8:00 p.m.
July 31 - 2:00 p.m.

For more information on tickets, see their website. If you'd like a small preview of the production, there are photos and videos at the Facebook page. You don't have to be a member of Facebook to see them.

If you come to see it, hang around in the lobby afterward because we'd love to talk to you. If you haven't met us already, here's the easiest way to find us onstage: Nigel is the lord who talks about the moat in the second scene, and I'm the short lady in the frilly dark blue gown in the dance scene.
